Amazon ousted thousands of merchants with no notice - unofficially moving closer and closer to a Dissociative Identity Disorder diagnosis
As an Amazon Marketplace supplier, we were proactively approached by an Amazon representative last year numerous times trying to get our company to sell directly to Amazon. How exciting! Coming from the Walmart world, we considered that a compliment. Our position quickly changed after looking at their high fees combined with the loss of retail price controls and we decided to stay on Marketplace. Fast forward one year, and it now appears we made a wise choice. This past Monday, Amazon began alerting suppliers that they would no longer be ordering their products directly moving forward and recommending they look at Amazon Marketplace.
