Walmart taps Udelv for latest driverless car tests to deliver groceries
In an effort to stay on the forefront of faster and more efficient delivery methods in the world of the online grocery business, Walmart has begun testing driverless cars in Surprise, Arizona with its partner Udelv. Thought by many to be a key space in online growth, close to 90% of US households are expected to have access to at least one grocery delivery service by the end of 2019. Walmart currently reaches 40% of US households and is expected to add another 800 stores to its portfolio by the end of the year.
